Tony Maniaty spoke at Books at MIFF, a case study discussion of the feature film Balibo and book-to-film adaptations. Other panelists included author Jill Jolliffe, publishers Ben Ball (Penguin) and Henry Rosenbloom (Scribe), and the director of Balibo, Robert Connolly. Books at MIFF promotes links and business between publishers, literary agents, film financiers and producers to foster book-to-film adaptations. The one-day event, hosted by film journalist Sandy George, was held on Thursday 23 July in Melbourne.
